Celebrating 8 Years of Service: Jeremy “Jezza” Wilson – Worthy Parts’ Quiet Achiever
At Worthy Parts, we are proud of our team—a dedicated group of individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes, often without the recognition they truly deserve. Today, we want to shine a light on one of our most versatile and reliable team members, Jeremy Wilson, affectionately known as Jezza. Jeremy has just marked an incredible eight years of service with Worthy Parts, and his journey is something worth celebrating.
From Minesite to Multi-Talented Mr Fix-It
When Jeremy joined the Worthy Parts team, he was looking for a change of pace from his previous role as a high-voltage electrician on mine sites. Swapping out heavy-duty voltmeters for a more hands-on and varied role, Jezza embraced the opportunity to be a general hand, helping with everything from putting up domes to picking and packing parts. It wasn’t long before his role expanded, transitioning into machine stripping and component inspection with a level of precision and dedication that only comes from years of practical experience.
Jeremy’s role is best described as a hybrid of warehouse operations, logistics, crane driver, truck driver, mechanic, and electrician. There’s not much Jezza can’t tackle, and he’s always happy to stay in the background, getting things done with zero fuss and maximum efficiency. He truly embodies the spirit of a genuine all-rounder.
A Brief Stint in Sales and a Return to Operations
Never one to shy away from a challenge, Jezza even tried his hand at sales for a brief period. However, a baptism of fire came in the form of an irate client whose freight had been lost in transit. Rather than be disheartened, Jeremy recognised where his true strengths lay and returned to operations, where he has thrived ever since. It was during this time that Jezza completed his HD Mechanical trade, adding yet another feather to his already impressive cap.
Finding More Than Just a Career
Jeremy’s journey with Worthy Parts has been more than just a career path—it’s been a life-changing experience. It was here that he met Taylor, who worked in our Finance department. Their connection grew stronger over the years, and the two recently celebrated the birth of their first child—a milestone that fills all of us at Worthy Parts with pride and joy.
As if life couldn’t get more exciting, Jezza and Taylor have also just purchased their first home in Bunbury. However, it’s not goodbye—far from it! Jeremy will continue to work with us, heading up our Bunbury operations. His skills and knowledge are invaluable, and we are thrilled to see him take on this new challenge, leading the way as we expand our footprint in the South West.
A True Asset to Worthy Parts
Jezza’s quiet dedication, reliability, and multi-skilled approach have made him an indispensable part of our team. He may slip under the radar, but his contributions are far from unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful for his eight years of service and look forward to seeing him take the reins in Bunbury, continuing to be our quiet achiever—the man who can fix just about anything and do it with a smile.
Congratulations, Jezza, on your eight years with Worthy Parts. Here’s to many more milestones and a new chapter of success in Bunbury!
